For the 2025 calendar, themed “The journey of happiness,” MB Ageas Life collaborated with The Woodpecker Studio (TWS) to develop a captivating concept, key message, and design style, with illustrations that would harmonize with the brand’s visual identity and enhance its recognition.
MB Ageas Life 2025: The scents of happiness
For the 2025 calendar concept, TWS chose a unique lens on “The journey of happiness” through the theme of scents, evoking memories and emotions. In a world that often prioritizes success, it is easy to lose sight of life’s simple joys. This calendar serves as a reminder: “Happiness is ever-present”. Whether it’s the scent of fresh grass after rain, the aroma of morning coffee, or the nostalgic smell of old books, each scent holds the power to awaken feelings and memories we may have forgotten.

Over the years, MB Ageas Life calendars have featured a variety of artistic styles. The 2023 edition used Kirigami Art for a layered effect, while the 2024 edition embraced lively photography. For 2025, TWS presents two fresh design directions, reflecting MB Ageas Life’s evolution and contemporary trends.
Option 1: Scents of memories
This concept taps into the evocative power of scents to summon cherished memories. Each page is designed like a series of memory fragments, recalling the style of comic book frames. Together, these pieces form a mosaic of moments, inviting viewers to revisit life’s “fragrances” and memorable experiences.
Option 2: Pathway to nostalgia
Inspired by scent’s role in capturing memories, this design uses high-contrast character depictions and color blocks to create a bold visual impact. The imagery feels slightly surreal, evoking a dreamlike quality that stirs nostalgia. Complementary typography adds depth to the narrative, making each page visually and emotionally immersive.
