Decorative Illustrations for L7 West Lake Hanoi By Lotte

With an architectural design influenced by Indochinese aesthetics, L7 West Lake Hotel by LOTTE seeks to immerse guests in artistic moments through theme-based illustrations, strategically placed throughout the entire hotel.
The project focused on three key areas for these illustrations: the main elevator lobby, the restaurant entrance, and the entire restroom block. Responsible for creating all these illustrations, TWS captured the timeless beauty of the 19th-century French Rococo artistic style while adhering to technical requirements for large-scale dimensions (2-3 meters) and high-detail precision.
The 1st Artwork: “Un voyage d’inspiration”
The first artwork, located in the elevator lobby, showcased a variation of the brand slogan “Un voyage d’inspiration” rendered in the Rococo artistic style, epitomizing the distilled essence of the 19th-century Baroque era. This creative rendition transformed the elevator waiting area into an inspiring and elegant space.
The 2nd Artwork: “Key to happiness”
For the second artwork, which adorns the entire guest room block, TWS chose an image of a keyhole accompanied by the message “Key to Happiness.” This piece invites guests to unlock the door to a state of pure bliss. By combining the brand’s culture code, “Never losing a sense of humor,” with delicate Rococo-inspired floral patterns, the artwork effortlessly conveys the friendly and humorous personality of the L7 people.
The 3rd Artwork: The 19th-century coffee culture
For the third artwork in the restaurant block, the vision of a glass-encased coffee grinder sparked our creativity. Departing from the conventional metal design of the 19th century, TWS used glass to evoke a sense of freedom and appetite for customers.
The Final Artwork: The inspiration from “Pièces Montées”
Drawing inspiration from the French culinary world of the 19th century, specifically the “Pièces Montées”—masterpiece pastries crafted by the legendary chef Marie-Antoine Carême—TWS skillfully adapted the intricate patterns and motifs of these creations. The result is a series of alluring and eye-catching artworks that capture the essence of this exquisite pastry art.
